Congratulations on your book, Ronnie, and yes, while writing is a pleasure – selling is hard work, isnl’ it. And even publishers make you do it .. that was always the worst part… being led around towns and speaking events having to give up modesty, and trying to sell oneself or the book !!

  Valerie, you are exactly right. I have always been grateful that I don’t have to count on writing to survive. and I say the same thing about gardening! imagine being held hostage by the whims of nature.

A very beautiful picture my friend, and congratulations to getting to the selling stage of your Book.
You have me wondering as to the hardest part about writing, is it getting the book published or getting it sold to the public.
Either way I congratulate you.

  Many thanks for your comments, Ian. My book is self-published though Amazon’s “Create Space.” They were helpful about technical parts of publishing that writers may not know. The hardest part is getting the book known and sold to the public. Book tours are for exactly that purpose; getting your book known in wider areas than your neighborhood. Luckily for me, I was director of a company that taught public speaking, so speaking about my book to audiences was not a problem for me.
